Appointments

Pharmacy First

Pharmacy First will enable community pharmacists to supply prescription-only medicines, including antibiotics and antivirals where clinically appropriate, to treat seven common health conditions without the need to visit a GP.

Urgent/same day appointments

For urgent or same day appointments call the practice on 01923 820 866 at 8am, and select Urgent/Same Day Appointments. The automated system will help triage your symptoms and direct you to the most appropriate service.  Depending on your symptoms, you may be redirected to Pharmacy First, or put through to speak to a Receptionist.

The receptionist will ask you about the reason for your appointment, to ensure you are triaged correctly to see the right health care professional.

Please try to phone as soon as you know you need to be seen, ie as early as possible.

Routine appointments

Requests for help and appointments are triaged via our online health questionnaire tool called PATCHS. You can submit a PATCH from 8am Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays) whilst there is capacity for regular appointments. You will then be contacted regarding your query within 24 hours (one working day) of receipt of your PATCHS request. We have introduced PATCHS so we are able to efficiently manage patients without the need for the patient to come in.

If you don’t have access to PATCHS via any means, you can telephone the practice on 01923 820 866. Our receptionist will ask some questions to help get you the right help you need. This will involve you giving details of the problem to help identify the most appropriate pathway. All telephone calls are recorded for monitoring and training purposes.

My Planned Care

My Planned Care gives you advice and support while you wait and helps you to prepare for your hospital consultation, treatment, or surgery. This includes giving you information about waiting times at your hospital and other supporting and local services while you wait.

This site is updated weekly and can be viewed by anyone, which means you, your family or carer as well as your NHS team can all see the latest information.

Your hospital team will be in touch with you as soon as they can. If you are looking for an update, please check this website before contacting your hospital or GP.
